Choosing the right speaker for an acceptance speech
Sometimes, in larger organizations, we aren't always sure who should be giving the speech – especially when it's appreciating a specific employee or member. Should it be their manager? A colleague from the department? The chair of the board? Keep in mind that a good speech is authentic. Someone who only knows the addressee from staff files or as a name on a list is probably not best suited to adulate them. Trust your intuition and choose a speaker who has a personal connection to the one receiving the honour.
